Oh how excited we were to meet these two! I’ve been chatting with Kristen since January, so meeting up with them at Washington Oaks for their engagement session and getting to know them better was a blast! And Kristen surprised Michael and I by showing up with pretty flowers for their second outfit – my kind of woman!!
Colbie + Kristen have been together for about 10 YEARS! Since they were sophomores in high school!! How amazing is that? And it couldn’t have been more obvious that these two were meant to be – they just GET each other and it showed!
Not only is their dating story awesome, but their engagement story is pretty epic. Kristen’s parents had moved to Japan last summer, so she and Colbie decided to spend Christmas visiting them. They ended up taking a two day trip to the Japanese Alps where they toured a temple, wore kimonos and even hung out with snow monkeys!! During their last stop at Matsumoto Castle, Kristen and Colbie took a few photos. During the last photo, Colbie dropped to his knee and asked Kristen to marry him! She said she was so shocked and didn’t know how she managed not to faint – haha!! Props to Colbie for pulling off the surprise of a lifetime!!
These two are planning a March wedding at one of our favorite venues – The Ribault Club! Can’t wait to see it all come together!
