Although Gabe + Alex currently live in Singapore, they flew back to the states where they grew up and were married in Stamford, Connecticut this past Saturday, September 27th. The day was perfect in so many ways!
The weather was absolutely stunning. 75 degrees, no humidity, quite literally not a single cloud in the sky all. day. long. The leaves were starting to change and I was in fall HEAVEN! Their day was also by far the smoothest wedding I’ve ever photographed. We were on time or early the entire day, and no one was ever stressed! Everyone was just enjoying and soaking in every minute, and it was perfect!
I love the Hollombe’s story! In their words,
“Alex and Gabe don’t remember when they first met. The best guess is that it must have been somewhere around the fall of 2002 in New York City. At a friend’s dorm room/apartment? A bar? A restaurant? Who knows? The point is that Gabe and Alex have been friends for a long time. They can’t remember the first time they laid eyes on each other, but they definitely remember their first date on October 3, 2012. Sipping fancy cocktails and watching the sun set over Sydney harbour was amazingly romantic and more than a little scary. They had discussed taking their relationship in a different direction but weren’t really sure what would happen…they were engaged one year later.”
The light in the room Alex chose to get ready in was INCREDIBLE! Two of the walls had floor to ceiling windows, and it made for the prettiest pictures!
Such a sweet moment with both of the mamas 🙂
LOVE the color of the bridesmaid dresses! Absolutely perfect for fall and the bouquets matched perfectly!
Alex’s dad started walking towards us for his first look with his daughter, but we hadn’t hidden the bride yet! So all of the girls jumped in front of her so he wouldn’t see before he was supposed to!
The photo on the left is one of my favorites of the day. Completely candid until Mr. Lynn looked up! Such a special moment.
Gabe + Alex love their dog, Winston! They wanted him to be the ring bearer, but a flight from Singapore to the U.S. just didn’t seem practical. So they had custom cufflinks made instead to still include him in their day!
I love this shot that Laura, my second shooter grabbed! That light was gorgeous!
It was such an honor to photograph your wedding day! Every moment was so beautiful and it’s obvious how perfect you are for each other. It was a privilege to witness both the love you have for one another and the love you have for your family and friends! I hope your day was everything you ever dreamed of!
