We met Andrew + Kristen at a small bridal show just a few months after Greyson was born last year! We were so excited to get their official inquiry a few weeks later. But we didn’t see them again for almost a year! Since they’re currently living in California, we ended up doing their engagement session the week of their Ribault Club garden wedding (it was so much fun and we can’t wait to post that too!). Even though we had just met (other than the few minutes at the bridal show), it truly felt like we had known them for ages and they were so welcoming on their wedding day!
For the past year or so, we’ve been asking our couples what they love most about each other. I wanted to share some of Andrew + Kristen’s answers because these few sentences will give a peak into their love story and make these photos really come to life!
Andrew told us, “I love and admire her unwavering commitment to us. She is incredibly loyal, loving, and is constantly striving to improve and build upon our relationship. She works hard every day to be the best companion she can be and inspires me to do the same for her. I could not imagine a better person to start a family with, she is the best friend I’ve ever had”
And Kristen said, “I love Andrew’s spirit. He’s motivated in a way that makes everything he does look easy, but I’ll never stop admiring him because I know it’s not easy. He’s purposeful and diligent, gracious and just. He brings energy and strength to our relationship, especially as he’s always planning exciting and new things for us and also always making me laugh. He is consistently supportive of me and makes me want to be my best self. I’m so lucky to love him.”
Keep those words in mind as you view these photos – we hope you can see just how perfect these two are for each other!
Andrew + Kristen, thank you for including us in your wedding day. We are grateful to know you both and we wish you nothing but the best!!Andrew + Kristen wrote beautiful letters to each other to read on their wedding day morning. Such sweet moments! After slipping into her dress with her mom and bridesmaids’ help, it was time for Kristen’s first look with her dad! We LOVE father-daughter first looks! I’m not sure we’ll ever have a baby girl, but during these moments I always find myself imagining Michael having this moment one day – cue the tears!
Andrew’s turn to read his letter from Kristen – you’re going to HAVE to see Ricker Film’s feature to hear some excerpts – so so beautiful! (Watch a sneak peek here)
First look time with the bride and groom <3 For us, first looks are less about the photos (though we are photographers so we love them for photos) and more about the bride and groom’s experience. We like to stay as far back as possible and let them have their own time. We always say there’s no time limit, don’t feel rushed! A first look can truly be one of the most intimate and special times during your wedding day!! It also allows you to spend several more hours together and with your entire wedding party.Their ceremony took place under a massive tree behind the club. Always a perfect backdrop! And Kristen did all the hand lettered signs and decor throughout their wedding. So talented!
And they’re MARRIED!!!
Time for more portraits! We may not have had a sunset glow but the weather and setting gave us Ireland vibes for some reason!! I’ll take it!
First dances give us all the feels!
Meanwhile, the flower girl was having fun dancing off to the side of the dance floor! So cute!
