This downtown Jacksonville anniversary session is a special one, because Robin + Lydia are family. Lydia is one of Michael’s sisters (he has three!). And I’m 100% sure Robin would agree with me – the Cibenes have been nothing but welcoming to each and every spouse as we’ve joined the family. I only ever use the term “in-law” when I need to clarify who I’m talking about to someone outside the family. It is the biggest blessing to marry into a family that loves you as their own, and one that I’m extremely thankful and grateful for!
We’ve taken a lot of photos of Robin + Lydia’s family since their oldest daughter was born (now they have 2 girls and a boy) – in fact, she was one of my first models when I was learning photography! But rarely do we get the chance to take a few photos of just these two. So when Lydie told us she wanted to do a shoot for their TEN year anniversary we were excited! It’s so important to have at least yearly family photos, but couples should still carve out time for photographs of just the two of them. So we left the kids at home with grandparents and met at the Prime Osborn in downtown Jacksonville. We were able to use some beautiful Shea Hopely blooms in a few shots – personally I love when couples bring flowers to their engagement or anniversary session! We ended the night in the Riverside area with the most beautiful sunset. Thanks Lydie + Robin for always trusting us to photograph both you and your beautiful family!
